The Rebels Makerspace is not only open during lunch hours, after school, and in-between classes, it’s a place that can be utilized by teachers for class activities because not every class has access to paints, brushes, glue, and building supplies. This was the case for students in Ms. Ghani’s Social Studies 11 class, who used Makerspace paints, brushes, glue, newspaper, and cardboard to construct topographic models. Sure, the space was in mild disarray after the build, but it was well worth it to see the Makerspace help further the social studies curriculum.
