The Rebels Makerspace is not only open during lunch hours, after school, and in-between classes, it’s a place that can be utilized by teachers for class activities because not every class has access to glue guns, foam, and pipe cleaners. This was the case for students in Mr. Walden’s Science 10 class, who used Makerspace equipment and building materials to construct Bohr models of their atoms of choice. Unfortunately, students did not have the time to make a truly ambitious Bohr model of Uranium’s 92 electrons in its 6 orbitals.
