Our first Makerspace activity of the 2016-2017 school year, our focus for this event was to have students make something unique and useful and had a low barrier to entry (ie. little “making skills” were required). We also wanted students to make something that fit with our school goal regarding student health and wellness. Our students loved it. Over 45 students came to make stress balls on the day of the event and many more stress balls have been made by students accessing our Makerspace on their own at lunch. Using just balloons and flour to make our Ninja Stress balls, this event remains one of our most successful and well attended in the Rebels Makerspace.
